The inverse relationship between the sense of status and the interpretation of reality

People with high status and power often have a horrible perspective and perspective in decision-making to assess some risks for making the right decisions.

Precisely because their minds and mental states are protected by status, position in the company, power, or money: they do not experience these problems and risks from the point of view of people who do not have this “immunity” in the form of power, and who, on the contrary, are very assess the situation well, because they face these challenges and problems in real life not in theory but in practice.

That’s why there are so many CEOs who have made super successful companies. That is why so many successful companies stopped in their development and did not have time to restructure to the challenges of time and grow further (Nokia is a shining example). And that is why in history, so many kings (presidents) are losers who have ruined their countries and peoples because from their perspective, they simply “did not feel” some situations adequately.

And around these people, no one could suggest and convey other more adequate points of view and interpretation of reality, because the higher the status, the more around people who convey only good and “favorable” news and views.

Therefore, before making important decisions, you should reduce your authority and sense of power (imaginary or real), listen to other people who work in other positions, and have a more realistic touch on a particular issue.
